New single "Song For Yesterday" / by Charles Newman

I am delighted to share some new singles with you all this fall. These singles are tied to the collaborative Coast & Refuge project, all featuring co-written songs that were composed with friends across the globe over the past several years.

The anthemic Song For Yesterday [available on SpotifyiTunesAmazon, etc.] traveled across the US and back. It was co-written in Los Angeles with Geoff Brandin and producer Ramin Sakurai (the Supreme Beings of Leisure), furthered in Brooklyn by long-time collaborator Charles Newman (The Magnetic Fields), finished in Vermont with multi-instrumentalist Colin McCaffrey, then mixed back in LA by Tom Rogers at Atomix Studios.

"Ramin and Geoff handed me a beautiful soundscape to sink into. It made me think of reconvening that Coast & Refuge has inspired, reconnecting and returning me to some of my oldest and dearest lost friendships."

Stay tuned for more singles to be released before the year's end to conclude the Coast & Refuge project.
